Breakfast is only served during recess. There is no breakfast before the bell.
If your student has a diagnosed food allergy, please complete the following form to receive meal accommodations.
If your student requires a milk substitution, please complete the following form to receive an alternate dairy option.
These forms can be returned to the nutrition office at Del Mar or emailed to kperusse@losd.ca.
What's in a School Meal?
The USDA requires that meals served during the School Breakfast Program or National School Lunch Program must meet the following requirements:
At least 80% whole grain-rich grains offered weekly
At least 1 cup of fruit and/or vegetable offered
< 10% of calories from saturated fats
0g trans fat
Cereals ≤ 6g of sugar per dry oz
Flavored milk ≤ 10g of added sugar per 8 fl oz
Yogurts ≤12g of added sugar per 6oz
