8th Grade
Sign up to be a Camp Counselor at the Farm! Practice your leadership skills while learning and exploring the Farm.
* Grades are based on 26/27 school year

6/22 - 6/26: 3rd - 5th grade - Jr. Plant Protectors
7/6 - 7/10: 6th - 7th grade - Future Farm Chefs
7/13 - 7/17: K - 2nd grade - Petit Pollinators
7/20 - 7/24: 3rd - 5th grade - Jr. Plant Protectors
** Please note, if your student is enrolled in LOSD Summer School, they will not be able to enroll in Farm Camp in June due to overlapping schedules
Time: 8:30am - 1:30pm
* Aftercare available through LEAP at no cost during June and for $31 per day in July. Registration for LEAP must be completed separately. Information will be provided after registration is confirmed.
Registration is open for K - 7th LOSD students from Jan 30th - Feb 6th
Spaces will first be offered based on family need, and any remaining spots will be filled through a lottery process
Interested in being a camp counselor? 8th graders are invited to apply to for a camp counselor position with the recommendation of a teacher. Please email your recommendation, the weeks you would like to sign up for, and one paragraph explaining why you want to be a camp counselor to kperusse@losd.ca
Petit Pollinators (K - 2nd) invites young learners to explore pollinators and farm life through hands-on activities. Campers will go on pollinator scavenger hunts, learn to identify their pollinator friends, help with planting and harvesting on the farm, participate in the preparation of meals using fresh farm ingredients, and create nature-inspired art. A playful introduction to pollinators, food, and the farm—perfect for curious little explorers! 🐝🌱
Jr. Plant Protectors (3rd - 5th) will be immersed into the world of sustainability and caring for the land for future generations. Campers will explore the food cycle from seed to compost, learn hands-on composting practices, and discover sustainable planting methods like the Three Sisters. Through harvesting and helping prepare lunch with farm-fresh ingredients, plus creative, nature-inspired art activities, students will see how thoughtful farming choices support healthy plants, people, and the planet. ♻️🌱
Future Farm Chefs (6th - 7th) offers a camp focused on farm-to-table cooking, nutrition, and food science. Campers will harvest fresh ingredients straight from the farm and use them to prepare meals while learning essential culinary skills and the basics of healthy nutrition. Science comes to life through hands-on activities like making strawberry jam, alongside creative, food-inspired art projects. Each camper will go home with a farm-to-table cookbook, ready to keep cooking and learning long after camp ends. 🍓👩🍳🌱
