Special Education

Live Oak School District recognizes that every student has unique individual needs. The purpose of our Special Education Department is to help ensure that students of ALL abilities have access to the same opportunities. We provide programs that meet students’ individual academic, physical, social, behavioral, and emotional needs so that each student has equal opportunities to succeed.

We are committed to supporting an inclusive culture in order to provide a future of limitless possibilities for our students. With high expectations for student achievement, our students with disabilities have the environmental and instructional supports they need to access the general education curriculum. By providing specialized instruction and accommodations and allowing for individual differences and learning styles, we prepare each child to contribute to their communities in meaningful and positive ways.
